As support for Tizen OS goes down – Samsung Plans to stick with Android OS
Just a month back the reports of Samsung working with Tizen OS project was unleashed, and it seemed that Samsung was pretty much interested in switching from Android to Tizen on its upcoming devices, including Galaxy Series Smart phones. But it seems that deal of Tizen OS is going down, and this is mainly because Samsung has realized that Tizen needs some time to grasp the market, as they don’t have any apps with them while Android is filled with thousands. Tizen needs to attract more app developers towards them in order to grasp the spot, and it would surely take time for this OS to actually make its place in Smartphone industry, and this is one of the reasons why Samsung has planned to stick with Android OS till the time Tizen takes a little control in the market, else adopting Tizen in its initial stage will drastically hit its Smart phones sales worldwide, and that might become a downward spiral for Samsung. But it is evident that Samsung is planning to switch, not know but later for sure. Up till now, Tizen has been grown to 36 companies, but still they are way behind than Android. In contribution, Samsung has merged its “Not – So – Successful” Os Bada in Tizen Project. One of the biggest reasons Samsung stated of its migration from Android to Tizen or any other operating system is that the Android is “Least Open” Open source platform, which offers only a limited number of scope to the manufacturers. Now let’s see what future a waits for Samsung and Tizen.
