Samsung Switching from AMOLED Displays to PLS LCD for Galaxy S5 and Note 4
It seems that Samsung is done with AMOLED display screens for its Smart phones, as the company is finally planning to switch to PLS LCD for its upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 and Note 4 phones.
One of the biggest reasons for Samsung’s switch to PLS LCD is that it would cut out 20% of the overall production cost, hence allowing Samsung to either make more profits out of their phones or they would offer their phones at lesser rates.
Samsung is surely making a whole lot of money as compared to anyone else in this Smartphone business, and with Chinese mid ranged Smartphone market in their hands and even lesser production cost, they can surely create a fortune.
Besides just cost reduction, PLS LCD will also allow S Pen to perform even better in Galaxy Note 4, hence allowing Samsung to benefit in every possible way.
Previously Samsung reported that they are going to use only OLED in all of their high-end phones, but recent reports have denied their previous claims, now let’s see whether they are planning to go with their previously claimed OLED screens or PLS LCD for Galaxy S5 and Note 4.
