Nokia Wins Patent Infringement Case – HTC One Faces Sales Ban in UK
Apple Inc. has surely setup a trend of suing companies for using their patent technology, specifically Samsung. It seems that after Apple, this trend is being followed by many others too, and this is mainly because of the fact that it not only allows company to damage its competitor, cut out his sales, make money from the patent infringement case, but also billions of dollars of publicity for free!
Nokia’s Rival, HTC has been found guilty for using Nokia’s Modulator Structure for a Transmitter and a Mobile Station in its Smartphone design, and now Nokia has all the rights to get compensated for that. However it seems that Nokia is also looking forward towards banning HTC One Smartphone in UK markets.
In the recent press conference, Nokia’s Spokesperson said that they are not only looking forward towards getting compensated over patent infringement case, but now they are also looking forward towards banning import and sale of infringed HTC’s products in UK.
HTC is doing what has to be done, as they are filing an appeal against this ruling. But if Nokia becomes successful in banning HTC’s patent infringed products then it would surely be a huge blow to HTC, as most of its recent products will be banned from UK.
Besides just UK, similar patent cases are being used against HTC in US, Italy, Germany, Japan and Italy while other patents are being used against HTC in Netherlands and France, hence completely destroying HTC in most important regions of the world!
