Nokia Planning to Launch Several Android OS Smart Phones in 2014

Just a few weeks back Nokia has officially announced that they are already working on their Nokia Android based phone, but as per the recent reports it seems that Nokia is planning to launch not just one but several new devices over Android OS in 2014.

The upcoming Nokia Normandy, which is subjected to be launched in March, is an Android based phone while the rest of the devices are going to be launched in the remaining year. Previously Nokia only confirmed that one of their devices will adopt Android platform, but it seems that Nokia is interested in launching more of their devices on Android platform, and one of the biggest reasons for this is that Android is known to be one of the most renowned platform used by almost all of the Smart phones these days and Google Play Store is known to be the store with most apps as compared to any other. It is a known fact that the number of apps supported by a phone OS plays a major role in the success or failure of that phone.

Nokia is already expecting huge sales over their android based phone, and this is the reason why they are also planning to launch several Android phones this year, even though they are at the brink of their merger with Microsoft.

A whole lot of techno geeks give credit to Microsoft for the Nokia Lumia sales, which crossed 7 million last year, hence allowing the company to stand back on its feet; else they were going in a bad way. We have surely witnessed that Microsoft was also trying its best to attract customers towards Nokia Lumia with Windows Phone 8, hence giving them several enticing offers to come towards these phones.

The very first Android based Nokia Phone Normandy will be equipped with a 1GHz dual core processor accompanied with 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal memory, 5MP of camera with Android 4.4 Kit Kat OS.

The configuration of this phone clearly states that it is going to be the Nokia’s budget phone, hence allowing it to be sold out at a much faster pace in the mid-ranged consumer market. However the most impressive thing is that this phone is going to have Android 4.4 Kit Kat, which is the latest version and is run by all the high end phones.
